In 1989, Gary
Vermeer retired as CEO of Vermeer Corporation at age 71, and currently acts as Chairman Emeritus of the Board and runs his private farming operation. He appointed two of his children who grew up at Vermeer to take over. Robert Vermeer is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Mary Andringa is President and Chief Executive Officer. They have continued with his philosophy of innovation and growth for Vermeer with new products such as directional drilling equipment. |
