Vermeer® CCX770 Cob Harvester

The Vermeer CCX770 Cob Harvester is a pull-type cob collection wagon that revolutionizes corn harvesting by enabling farmers to harvest both corn and cobs – separately and simultaneously – in one pass. The self-contained CCX770 Cob Harvester is designed to tow immediately behind select qualified corn harvesting combines to collect and unload the cobs. Because it’s self-contained – a bolt-on hitch assembly is required for the combine – with its own engine, the CCX770 minimizes undue stress on the combine and makes it quick and easy for farmers to switch from crop to crop … and gives them the opportunity to expand their revenue stream while still maintaining the speed and flexibility they need during the busy harvest season.

Dump heights range from 9'7" to 15'6" and provide many transport and storage options. The CCX770 holds up to 8,000 pounds of cob material and unloads in 90 seconds.

With the CCX770 disconnecting is made easy by simply removing the hitch pin, unplugging the wire harness and re-engaging the combine spreader attachment to switch from corn to other crop harvesting.

The patented separation system redistributes leaves and husks to the land. Removing a small amount of residue from the corn field is a sustainable approach for creating various forms of Bioenergy while minimizing the impact to the corn harvest. Corn cob standards will ultimately be defined by their end use, but will also be impacted by corn variety, crop conditions, machine settings, storage process and other factors.
