The FINAL CUT Feed Chopper, a new revolutionary bale processor attachment that helps maximize feed intake and minimize waste and spoilage while offering dairy and beef producers more freedom, more control and a versatile alternative to the hassles of large-scale contract grinding, is now available from Vermeer Corporation.
The Vermeer FINAL CUT Feed Chopper (designed to work exclusively on Vermeer BP8000 Bale Processors) chops long, course, stringy, frozen or wet material to a shorter cut length - typically 3" or less - for better utilization in livestock feeding and bedding.

With the Vermeer FINAL CUT Feed Chopper attachment, producers are now able to provide more palatable, easier-to-digest livestock feed in a uniform particle size that reduces waste and improves digestion.
  
Special free-swing cutting blades (128) in the Final Cut Feed Chopper attachment are mounted to a powered rotor bar that turns at speeds up to 3,000 rpm. The blades are also reversible for longer life.

Just engage the attachment and go! Works great on nearly any kind of baled material! Chops long, course, stringy material and reduces the average cut length to 3" or less. Also disengages for regular processing and longer length cuts when bedding and doing erosion control work.
  
Great for bedding! The BP8000 is able to cover acres in minutes, shooting processed straw at distances up to 50 feet!
  
Simple to operate... and all controlled from the tractor seat. Self-contained forks hydraulically lift and load the bales. Hydraulic feed rollers rotate and loosen the material for uniform feeding. (Flow is reversible.) Large-diameter, PTO-powered drum, with tempered spring steel flails, processes the hay. Available with left or right-hand discharge.

28 bushel Grain Tank feed option capable of processing cake, pellets and grain. 4" hydraulically driven auger feeds directly into the bottom of the bale tub to ensure proper mixing.
 
Twine Slicer. An exclusive cutting knife slides along the entire length of the flail drum to slice away twine buildup. (This eliminates the often tedious and awkward task of burning away buildup with a blowtorch, or even worse, climbing inside the tub to cut it away with a knife.)
 
Specially designed heat-treated and tempered steel spring flails. Positioned in a spiral pattern to even out the load on the PTO. Contoured to fit the curve of the flail drum. This greatly reduces the possibility of flail breakage.

Right hand discharge. Two adjustable discharge doors help control spread patterns. The top door, with rubberized tarpaulin cover, hydraulically lowers to feed hay into tightly controlled windrows (and prevent forage from blowing). The full length, adjustable bottom door raises to feed into bunks; also adjusts for bedding or creating a pile.
 
New large-diameter drum design. Nearly 50% larger than previous models. Equipped with shorter flails (5-1/2") to help improve performance and minimize flail damage from "backslapping". Shorter, staggered, rubber feed rollers ensure aggressive turning action.
 
Built to last! Frame is constructed of rugged, reinforced 6" x 4" steel tubing, reinforced all along the bottom; plus 8-bolt, 5000-lb rated hubs and 5000-lb rated axles/spindles. Twine guards protect both the feed roller and flail drum bearings and shafts.

Simple, adjustable telescoping axles. Now you can easily set up a wider wheelbase to increase stabliity on hillsides; or a narrower one for tight entryways or transport. Accommodates large or small tire mountings using a "flip-axle" design.
 
Quiet. Smooth fluid power ensures a quiet operating system and fewer hassles. No chains to adjust. No broken or bent bars to fix. Fewer moving parts means less maintenance, lower repair costs. Plus, optional hydraulic flow control adjusts the speed of the hydraulic feed rollers.
 
New lower profile tub. Increases visibility into and beyond tub, especially helpful when backing up to load bales. Heavy-duty 14-gauge panel side shields are taller for better containment, less spillage. Front mesh screen, with heavy-duty 2" x 2" steel tube, forms the front panel.
Adjustable hydraulic lift forks, include double beveled tips to enable operators to gently load bales and minimize damage to the ground.
  
Optional 16.5L x 16.1 cleated flotation tires allow the unit to better "float" through mud, snow, or greasy feedlot conditions.
 
Optional work lights...provide excellent visibility for loading and processing after dark.
Deflector shield design increases versatility, placement and accuracy of both mulching and bedding operations.
  
Optional electric valve hand controller will allow operators to reduce the need for an extra remote when operating the loading and bale turning functions.
